American’s Top Financial Worry Is “Having Enough Money For Retirement”

(Newswire.net — April 30, 2014)  Gallup has just released a new poll that show 3 out of 5 Americans are worried about having enough money for retirement”.

The poll also reveals that it’s not just the baby boomers are asking the question “Will I have enough for retirement’ it’s also people in their 20’2 and 30’s are most struggle with finding jobs or over whelming student loans.

70% of persons aged 30-49 are worried and 40% of 18-29 are worried as well” ~ Gallup Poll

So how do Americans start putting a plan together to “Start Saving For Retirement.”

Carolyn Feeney President of Agency Distribution, Prudential recommends for those who are worried to take a first step which is to get a clear picture of one’s financial situation. After all one can’t start taking on the issue until they understand exactly where they stand.

Individuals should start with an Inventory of assets, income, debt and current expenses so they can get a clear picture of what their situation is and once they have done that seek the help of a financial expert that can work with them to set up short and long term financial goals.

She also brings up the for individuals to do their due diligence in selecting the right advisor.

For those who do work with a financial advisor they tend to be far much more confident in their financial future and achieving their financial goals.

Seeking help is will really help individuals overcome that initial step of coming terms with where they are financially, as its been shown that most people wont take any actions because of how daunting it is.
