Saqib Aslam, who is known professionally as AP, has quickly established himself as one of the premier players in the music industry. Even though most people know Saqib Aslam for his work with Apis Records, he hasn’t always been a major player in the entertainment world. He emigrated to the United States with his parents back in 1987. He was only 11 months old at the time and he eventually settled in San Francisco, CA, the heart of the entertainment and technology worlds. His family did not have much growing up, and he had to fight for everything he had. It was this fight that made him the entertainment giant that he is with Apis Records today.
Saqib Aslam graduated from high school in San Francisco and went on to attend the University of San Francisco. He couldn’t believe that he had created such an opportunity for himself. He majored in public administration and graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2009. From there, he took a job with the City and County of San Francisco, believing this to be the start of a fulfilling career. He was looking forward to being a public servant, helping the community that he had called home for nearly all of his life. Sadly, he ran into racial discrimination. This impacted the work that he was doing and he decided to try his hand at something else.
This led him to the world of entertainment. He had always had a love for music; however, he had never gotten to fully explore it. The opportunity presented itself and he decided to found Apis Records, which has become one of the top record labels in the industry. Saqib Aslam put himself on the map with the work he did with Travis Scott, taking one of his music videos to the double-platinum level back in 2018. He immediately felt the sense of fulfillment that he had been chasing for some time. He knew that he wanted to help artists find their way in a challenging, competitive, and rewarding industry. This has led to the massive growth that he and Apis Records have enjoyed.
Now, Saqib Aslam has made himself available for coaching. He knows that the music industry can be tough but he learned how to succeed on the streets of San Francisco. He knows what it takes and has put everything into this record label. He is looking forward to showing every aspiring musician what the music industry has to offer through Apis Records.
