Many Schools all over the World are making charitable events with idea to collect money and use it to plant trees. That is the way how The Rygaards International School in Hellerup, Denmark and their pupils will help save tropical rainforests and stop deforestation of Amazon rainforest. On 25th April they are organizing event where already prepared crafts from recycled/reused materials done by pupils will be sold to collect money for planting trees. It is estimated that every 5 DKK buys a tree to be planted in deforested areas. Because of that the buyers decide the cost that is multiple of 5 DKK.
Big Companies and celebrities are helping too.
Companies like Telenor are taking actions together with different charity organisations and celebrities and organizing different events. Several years ago Vlade Divac ex NBA player and member of Olympic Committee joined Telenor in several events in Belgrade, Serbia as well.
New companies have interest to save rainforests.
One of new companies started 2011 with intention to save Amazon, tropical rainforests and forests all over the world. Main idea is to stop deforestation by involving as much people to help in conserving hectares of forests. Buying “saving forest packs”, buyer will stop owner cutting trees in the agreed conservation area. The good thing is that this is “win win – win” situation for Company, Land Owner and people joining the action. Company is planning going public and mentioning several Stock Exchanges like TSX, NASDAQ and NYSE. Becoming member can be beneficial.
