(Newswire.net — March 29, 2016) Greenwood Village, CO — Not many people can claim to be a prosthodontist and a rock star. In fact, we seldom would see such a career title listed on a business resume. Yet Aldo Leopardi is the perfect example of a person bringing perfect smiles to clients visiting his cosmetic dental office during the day, and creating edgy guitar riffs to bring smiles to the rock/alternative music fans all over the world. This Australian-born rock musician and Colorado renowned prosthodontist has released his 3rd new record “Vice” on March 17, 2016 to show that even a dentist can pursue his musical dreams.

Playing guitar since the age of ten and inspired by the musical success of acclaimed stars such as Stevie Ray Vaughn, AC/DC, the Beatles and Led Zeppelin, Leopardi introduced his first self-titled debut album in 2006 as he focused on introducing a unique quintessential rock sound. Realizing how difficult it can be to get a foot inside a record-label’s office without first being seen on a singing reality TV show, Leopardi created his own music label Backslash Records. Partnering with The Jumpsuit Apparatus producer Lee Miles, he released his second EP, “Villains & Heroes” in 2011 with contributions from Tickle Me Pick guitarist Steven Beck and engineers Jason Larson (Dalton-Hickman Gang) and Jason Livermore (Blasting Room Studio). He has also released his first video “Always Be,” with help from producer Mark Vargas and Newlyweds director Jordan Horowitz.

Aldo Leopardi’s third record “Vice” doesn’t hold back any punches as the lyrics focus on the messy and gritty gray areas of life that are often overlooked in adult relationships. He takes away the compartmentalization that is often done and instead embraces the self-awareness and angst that such relationships create. Then he mixes these lyrics with a myriad range of rock-driven sound that is appealing with today’s fan base. The EP “Vice” features 5 songs showcasing Leopardi’s singing, songwriting and guitar-playing creativity as he hopes to find his destined niche in the rock/alternative rock music scene.

During the early years of his musical calling, Aldo Leopardi realized an important fact about becoming an accomplished musician: he needed to be financially well-off so he could have better control of his musical career. In 1984, he enrolled in the University of Adelaide, South Australia to receive his post graduate degree so he could open up a private practice. His thirst for growing success lead him to go after a specialized degree in Prosthodontics at the University of South Carolina at Chapel Hill as he received his master’s degree in 1993. Then Leopardi gained his American DDS degree at the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) in Michigan while being a part of the Prosthodontic faculty.

Even with his music career on hold, he never gave up his dreams as he opened up his private cosmetic dental office in Denver, Colorado. He reached the point where he could focus on both desired careers, allowing him to pick up the dental tools during the day and the guitar at night during live performances. Today, he wears a black tie and business suit to give national lectures about fixed implant and removable implant dentistry — or his cosmetic dental attire when working with clients in his office — and is still able to switch over into the rock world when picking up his guitar and playing on stage or in the studio.

Becoming a musician is a dream a person may have yet never has the time or financial means to pursue. Aldo Leopardi is one of the few people who demonstrates that not only can a person seek out their dreams in the music spotlight, they can do it at the same time when seeking out a highly specialized career. Music fans may find inspiration from prosthodontist and rock/alternative musician Aldo Leopardi who shows that there are other ways to reach a musical career besides hoping that a record label executive happens to hear music being played inside a garage while walking his dog down the street. Leopardi has shown people that they don’t have to give up their musical or artistic dreams no matter at what stage of their life that they are at.
