The whole story started when Uma Thurman spoke out about Harvey Weinstein and how he sexually assaulted her. This was 25 years ago in London’s Savoy hotel.

Harvey Weinstein’s spokesman said that “Mr. Weinstein acknowledges making an awkward pass”.

They also claim to be considering legal action against the actress, a common defense for those accused of sexual misconduct.

Quentin Tarantino comes into the story when they were filming “Kill Bill”, a movie distributed by Weinstein’s Miramax company.

Uma Thurman’s accusations against Weinstein put a strain on her professional relationship with Tarantino.

She recalled an instance when she was asked to film a driving scene she thought was unsafe. Quentin came to her trailer and convinced her to do the shoot, threatening “Hit 40 miles per hour or your hair won’t blow the right way and I’ll make you do it again.”

The take was not a success and resulted in a serious automobile accident leaving Uma Thurman with serious injuries to her neck and knees.

It took Thurman 15 years to get the footage from Miramax, but she has managed to obtain it and post it to her Instagram account.

Tarantino has since commented that the decision to have her do the driving instead of a stuntman was one of the biggest regrets of his life.

Even though Thurman has forgiven Tarantino and is thankful to him for helping her obtain the car crash footage from Miramax, in the court of public opinion Tarantino is still not looking good.

While filming “Kill Bill”, Tarantino was the one who was spitting in Uma Thurman’s face and choking her with a chain.

Others have spoken about Quentin’s strange behavior on set as well.

A “Planet Terror” behind the scenes video from 2006 shows Fergie complaining how Tarantino bit her.

Tarantino was also the one who was choking actress Diane Kruger for her death scene in “Inglorious Basterds”.

Both actresses have commented on those scenes with Fergie stating “We were just kind of having banter. We were having a little bit of fun,” and Kruger also defending Tarantino “my work experience with Quentin Tarantino was pure joy. He treated me with utter respect.”

Some still think this is an abuse of power coming from a director.

Jessica Chastain tweeted “Directors inserting themselves into a scene depicting abuse is crossing a boundary. How can an actor feel safe when your director is strangling you?”

As if that wasn’t enough, a recording of a 2003 Howard Stern interview with Quentin Tarantino has also surfaced.

In it Tarantino was adamantly defending Roman Polanski’s rape of a then 13 year old Samantha Geimer.

Tarantino can be heard calling her a “party girl,” adding that she “wanted to have it.”

The recording caused massive backlash, and Tarantino issued a public statement apologizing to Samantha Geimer “Fifteen years later, I realize how wrong I was. Ms. Geimer WAS raped by Roman Polanski.

Tarantino’s next film, currently titled “Helter Skelter” is going to be about the Manson Family Murders. Allegedly, the character of Roman Polanski is going to be a key role, understandable considering his marriage to Sharon Tate, one of the victims of the murders.

It is questionable whether Tarantino will be going ahead with the project in light of the recent controversies his past actions have caused.
