(Newswire.net— March 23, 2018) — A couple visited the same tourist place on the same day, 11 years before they actually met, the Guardian cited Channel NewsAsia.

The distant figure of her future husband on her old photo in front of a monument propels the idea that soulmates are destined to meet.

The husband and wife found convincing evidence that related souls exist when they discovered that they appeared on the same photo almost two decades ago, ten years before they first met. Amazing considering 1.4 billion people live in China.

The NewsAsia News agency, brought the story of a couple from the city of Chengdu that realized they are destined to be together. Scanning old photographs at the beginning of the month, the husband recognized himself in a corner of a photograph of his wife in front of the monument at the square in Qingdao city.

The photo was made in July 2000, and the pair met and fell in love in 2011, but they have their mothers to thank for the trip.

Xue was accompanying her mother who was recovering from surgery and Ye was part of a package tour group booked for his mother, who had to drop out at the last minute due to appendicitis.

“When I saw the photo I was taken by surprise and I got goosebumps all over my body,” Ye told a local newspaper.

Ye went to May Fourth Square on May 4 when his mother fell ill and gave him her place in a tourist group. His wife, Xue, visited this place with her mother.

A couple who has since become viral on the Chinese website Weibo, plans to go back and make a new joint photo with their children at the same place where their paths have long since crossed.

The couple’s friends said it was incontrovertible proof the two were meant to be together. Now with twin daughters, they plan to go back to the same spot.

“Qingdao is a really special city for us. When children grow up, we will go back to make a family photo,” said Ye.
