The Center Expands Expert Medical Team

(Newswire.net — July 17, 2019) Bend, OR — The Center Orthopedic & Neurosurgical Care announces two new additions to the provider team, Brock Rutherford, PA-C and Michael Valdez, PA-C. Each brings valuable skills and experience to the medical team and will help keep pace with the continued regional growth.   

Brock Rutherford, PA-C worked for Pediatric Orthopedic and Scoliosis Center of the Central Coast prior to joining our team of pediatric orthopedic providers. He finds it very rewarding to help young patients recover from injuries and return to their active lifestyle. He has a special interest in caring for patients with congenital deformities, it inspires him to see both surgical and nonsurgical treatments make a big impact in a young person’s life. 

Brock completed his medical education at Stanford University School of Medicine. Prior to that, he earned a masters degree in kinesiology from California State University and completed his undergraduate education at Humboldt State University.

Michael Valdez will be primarily working with Dr. Jay Moore in the orthopedics department at The Center. He cares for patients of all ages with orthopedic injuries or conditions. He enjoys guiding his patients to reach their goals and seeing them get back to what they love.

After working as an orthopedics physician assistant at Hope Orthopedics in Salem, Oregon, Michael is excited to make the transition to Central Oregon to join the team of multidisciplinary providers at The Center. He completed his medical education at Heritage University in Toppenish, Washington and did his undergraduate education at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
