(Newswire.net — August 27, 2019) Orlando, FL — Today, there are many scientists who carry out studies to learn about the health dangers of chronic stress. There are many contributing factors of stress, and they are the ones consumers are advised to avoid or eliminate.

According to research, Sheldon Cohen, we are just beginning to understand the ways that stress influences a wide range of diseases of aging, including heart disease, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes and certain types of disability, even early death.

Cohen is a professor of psychology at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh who has been at the forefront of stress research for 30 years.

A Harvard University-Robert Wood Johnson Foundation-NPR poll was recently carried out.

In this study, researchers found that around a quarter of the 2,500 participants reported experiencing a great deal of stress. Some experts have found that individuals who are under stress often turn to eating, drinking, and smoking frequently.

Multiple research studies have shown the association between stress and weight gain, common cold, slower healing, sleep dysfunction, heart disease, depression, ulcers, and some stomach issues.

It is highly recommended to resort to some helpful measures in reducing stress. It is worth mentioning that the conditions linked with it are costly and difficult to manage, and this is why it is always best to reduce the risk of their development.

There are natural ingredients popularized by their remarkable ability to relieve stress. One is rhodiolarosea, which is a traditional herbal medicine used in the treatment of stress and related symptoms and conditions.

According to experts, this particularly includes fatigue, exhaustion and mild anxiety. Rhodiola’s anti-fatigue effects may be extremely helpful for individuals who feel drained or burned out, and have difficulties concentrating because of it.

A study was carried out and it involved 60 individuals with stress-related fatigue.

It has been found that intake of rhodiola in a dose of 576 mg every day led to a significant reduction in the levels of cortisol, which is a stress hormone. It didn’t just improve fatigue, but also alertness, mental performance and the ability to concentrate.

In another study, the investigators had 101 subjects experiencing life stress. It has been found that intake of 200 mg of rhodiola twice a day for four weeks enhanced stress symptoms. The benefits were observed within 3 days of treatment and they improved throughout the 4-week trial.

It is further worth mentioning that rhodiola is an adaptogen, and this means it can increase the body’s inherent ability to resist stress. In stressful situations, rhodiola has been found to be particularly helpful.

This is also true in individuals who are struggling from stress caused by life and work situations.
