Lauren O’Malley Participates in PSU Student Law Event

(Newswire.net — November 9, 2019) Cary, NC– Lauren O’Malley, of Triangle Smart Divorce Law practice, recently sat as an invited panel guest at Pennsylvania State University’s annual law career activities. 

The two-day event took place on October 23-24, at Penn State campus in University Park, Pennsylvania. 

The annual event is put on by the College of the Liberal Arts and allows undergraduate students the opportunity to learn more about pursuing a degree in law. Invited alumni shared with students the rewards, challenges, and important life lessons learned from their personal and professional experiences as lawyers. They also offered advice to students interested in pursuing careers in law. 

Lauren O’Malley is a Penn State alumnus who received her undergraduate degree in 2007. She went on to study law at Duquesne University. 

The first session of the law career activities began on October 23 with a panel presentation on Careers in Law—the Contraction in the Law Field and its Implications. During this session, alumni briefly spoke about their experiences as law students, their law practices, and the realities of practicing law in today’s world. The second session, held on October 24, provided students with an opportunity to meet individually with alumni for 20-30 min for mentoring and discussion. 

Alumni participation at the event was by invitation only, on a volunteer basis.  

Lauren currently practices family law at Triangle Smart Divorce in Cary, North Carolina.
