(Newswire.net — May 5, 2020) — Event planning company announces the launch of a new non-profit environmental campaign aimed at reducing carbon emissions as well as benefitting small businesses.

Boston based event planning company, Origin Meetings and Site Selection, is planning on launching a new non-profit campaign aptly named “Two Weeks For The World”, or TWFW for short. The campaign takes into consideration the environmental impact from the Covid-19 lockdowns and plans on using this model to implement this into a yearly event to help cut carbon emissions and pollution.

The non-profit campaign would aim at partnering with small businesses to give companies a tax break for allowing their employees to work from home for a consecutive two weeks every year. By allowing employees to work from home, a reduction in pollution, traffic and overall carbon emissions will be beneficial for the environment in more ways than one.

With the recent lockdowns and restrictions due to the Covid-19 outbreak, environmentalists have seen a large decrease in overall pollution. With the decrease in pollution and garbage being sent out into the world, animals have been seen returning to once uninhabitable areas.

In addition to the environmental benefits of the TWFW campaign, small businesses will profit as well. The campaign aims at providing small businesses substantial tax breaks in order to help bolster their profit margins up during the two week period, even though their employees could still work. Origin Meetings President, Austin Horn sees this as a win win for all parties. “Some companies are headed this way anyway, we simply want to push this along and make sure people understand how important it is that we stop talking about climate change and start taking action. Bringing awareness is just the tip of the spear in our company’s ongoing battle against climate change”

Origin Meetings new non-profit campaign would ensure that not only the environment will benefit, but that people and businesses will as well.

To promote the campaign, Origin Meetings has announced the creation of a new hashtag which will be used in all of the companies social media pots going forward in order to raise awareness. #TwoWeeksForTheWorld will be used in order to get more people invested in the campaign and bring awareness to the environmental benefits of working from home.

Origin Meetings is in the process of interviewing for board members and passionate leaders.
