(Newswire.net — June 3, 2020) Orlando, FL — An increasing number of studies are revealing some interesting facts about highly prevalent conditions like high blood pressure. It is worth realizing that in the U.S., hypertension continues to affect more and more people.

Scientists from the George Institute for Global Health at the University of Oxford carried out a study.

This research involved over 30,000 people in the U.S. who were examined for their management and rates of high cholesterol, diabetes, body mass index (BMI), high blood pressure, and smoking.

It has been found that women American women tend to manage their blood pressure levels better but were more obese. The investigators further found that men were less able to control their blood pressure and diabetes.

This interesting research was published in Circulation, and was funded by the UK Medical Research Council and the Australian National Health and Medical Research Council.

According to Dr Sanne Peters, Research Fellow in Epidemiology at The George Institute, UK, the good news is that, since the Millennium, there have been reductions in blood pressure and cholesterol levels and in rates of smoking across adults in the United States.

“However, these rates leave much room for improvement, and the average BMI has gone up, with the greatest rise for women,” he adds.

More research studies are still being carried out to learn more about how hypertension rates may be reduced. The good news is that there are natural ways to manage healthy blood pressure levels. One is curcumin and this phytochemical can be found in a medicinal spice called turmeric.

It is worth noting curcumin has anti-platelet, antioxidant, anti-amyloidogenic, anti-cytotoxic, antibiotic, antimicrobial, anti-purulent, immunomodulating, genoprotective, antiviral, renoprotective, insulin-sensitizing, androgenic, antifibrotic, neurorestorative, and metal-chelating properties.

It also contains anticoagulant, antiseptic, antifungal, adaptogenic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticarcinogenic, antiproliferative, and anticatabolic agents.

Research has found curcumin aids in decreasing hypertension due to its ability to regulate the activity of angiotensin receptors. It is worth noting that the hormonal system called Renin-angitensin regulates blood pressure.

It actually involves activity of enzymes-renin and angiotensin. Due to curcumin’s effects, it ends up preventing the constriction of blood vessels. It is further worth mentioning that both curcumin and black pepper have been found to decrease high blood pressure.

The combination of these ingredients may even ameliorate damage and structural changes that happen in the blood vessel due to hypertension.

More research studies are clinical trials are still being carried out to learn about the extent of powers curcumin has against hypertension. One formula to consider using is Divine Bounty Curcumin, which also contains black pepper (http://www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-BioPerine-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00VSVKJ8I).
