What Kind of Man are You?

There are many different types of men in this world. Some seem to have it easier than others. But why? It has a lot to do with their personality type. Technically there are 24 different types of men. We’ve broken it down to the primary three.

So what kind of man are you? Are you a born leader who everyone likes to follow? Maybe you are the kind of person who sits back and lets others take charge. Or you could be a healthy combination of the two.

Let’s find out!

The Alpha Male

Like lions, the Alpha Male is the “King of the (concrete) Jungle.” He’s strong, confident, a born leader, and the guy who’s constantly at the head of the pack. Alpha males attract females because of their firm, macho, charisma. But is being an alpha, always the best?

Alpha Strengths

According to Datingskillsmasters, the two critical ingredients of an Alpha male are self-esteem and a high level of confidence. This kind of guy knows he’s incredible, he’s happy also to tell you this, whether you want to hear it or not. Alphas take charge of every situation and want to be in complete control.

Alpha Weaknesses

Rule number 1 – The alpha guy is always right, always. If an alpha male is wrong, see Rule number 1. There’s no compromise, no questioning; you must accept his decision. These guys are a little egotistical and are prone to be aggressive if they don’t get their own way.

Don’t expect this guy to be all romance and chocolates. If you’ve had a bad day and need comfort and support, don’t go to him, he doesn’t care. He prefers a quiet, docile partner, one that will do everything for him, and never feel like a burden.

The Beta Male

The Beta male is commonly referred to as ‘Mr. Nice Guy’. He’s the kind of person you want to take home to meet your mom. Unlike his alpha counterpart, this guy much prefers to take a back seat, is sensitive to other people, and cares about those around him.

Beta Strengths

Idealistic, emotional, and light-hearted are three words that sum-up the Beta male. This guy is genuinely likable, fun to be with, and an all-round good guy. He may have been a little introverted at school, but grows out of it as an adult.

Beta Weaknesses

Due to his good heart and generous kind nature, the Beta guy is often taken advantage of. It’s hard for him to say no, so other, more aggressive types (cough, cough, alpha) use this weakness to their benefit.

When looking for a life partner, this is the guy to choose. Pastedman suggests that the Beta guy will treat you kindly, care about your needs, and not break your heart. Somehow though, this guy isn’t quite as rough and rugged as most women want, and they can lose interest in them. So this kind of man tends to be the back-up guy or forever stuck in the ‘friend zone.’

The Gamma Male

So what kind of male is left if you aren’t an alpha or a beta? You’d be a gamma male. Adventurous and fun-loving, these guys seem to have it all.

Gamma Strengths

Gamma males are often alpha males who have matured and lost their selfishness. They like to have fun, but at the same time, they’re responsible and never forget their responsibilities.

Gamma Weaknesses

Gammas thrive on change and are prone to getting restless if they’re stuck in a rut or are bored by their environment.

The people at Menxsp believe that if a woman has a gamma male as her partner, then she is incredibly lucky. Gammas are strong family men who put their relationships first. They will do whatever possible to fulfill the other person’s needs.

So Which One Are You?

Yes, this seems to stereotype guys rather simply into 3 categories, the leader, the boy next door, and the combination of the two. Of course, most guys have a mix of all the qualities, so they can’t be labeled so quickly.

If you do see yourself as one of these, focus on your strengths, and try to work on your weaknesses.
