(Newswire.net — August 3, 2020) Orlando, FL — Today, many researchers warn against inflammation as it is linked with the onset of certain diseases. In a study, it has been found to wreak havoc on brain health.

According to researchers, they have found a link between brain inflammation and schizophrenia. These British investigators utilized PET scans to evaluate immune cell activity in the brain of 56 individuals.

It is worth noting that some of the subjects had schizophrenia and some were at the risk of mental disorder. There were also those with neither symptoms nor the risk of the disease.

Researchers say they found a link between brain inflammation and schizophrenia.

The study findings reveal that the immune cells tended to be more active in the brains of individuals with schizophrenia and those at risk for the disease.

According to lead author Peter Bloomfield, their findings are particularly exciting because it was previously unknown whether these cells become active before or after onset of the disease.

Bloomfield is from the Medical Research Council’s Clinical Sciences Center at Imperial College London.

“Now we have shown this early involvement, mechanisms of the disease and new medications can hopefully be uncovered,” he added.

The study findings were published Oct. 16 in the American Journal of Psychiatry.

Health authorities have long been stressing the importance of regulating inflammation levels inside the body. It is worth realizing that today, there are multiple studies revealing the powerful healing benefits of curcumin against inflammation.

Scientists carried out a study involving 117 individuals diagnosed with metabolic syndrome. It has been found that a dose of one gram of curcumin powder every day reduced levels of three blood markers of inflammation.

These include C-reactive protein (CRP), lower fasting blood sugar, and hemoglobin A1c. It is worth noting that the placebo group experienced higher inflammation levels.

This has led the researchers to suggest that supplementation of curcumin significantly enhances oxidative and inflammatory statics.

It is further worth noting that in some studies, curcumin was able to inhibit both the activity as well as the synthesis of cyclooxygenase-2 (COX2) and 5-lipooxygenase (5-LOX) and even some other enzymes implicated in inflammation.

Researchers even suggest that curcumin was able to block the inflammatory pathways, which prevented swelling and pain.

This natural healing remedy may be helpful in fighting inflammation associated with schizophrenia. It is also worth noting that today, curcumin is widely used as an anti-inflammatory weapon.

Formulas like VitaBreeze Curcumin may be a beneficial source of this phytochemical. It is known for its high potency, and it continues to gain increasing popularity in the global market (http://www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Complex-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00JA4TLTI/).
