(Newswire.net — August 26, 2020) Orlando, FL — More and more researchers are looking into the effective ways to help protect and enhance brain function. Unfortunately today, there are factors found detrimental to the mind.

In a new study, using smartphones too much make lazy thinkers even less inclined to use their brain.

According to study co-lead author Gordon Pennycook, they may look up information that they actually know or could easily learn, but are unwilling to make the effort to actually think about it.

Pennycook is a doctoral candidate in the psychology department at the University of Waterloo in Canada.

The investigators evaluated the thinking styles as well as the smartphone use of 660 subjects, who were also compared with analytical and intuitive thinkers. It is worth noting that intuitive thinkers are those who use instinct and gut feelings to make decisions.

Analytical thinkers, on the other hand, rely on their problem-solving skills for decision making.

The study was published in the journal Computers in Human Behavior.

It has been found that intuitive thinkers frequently used the search engine of their smartphones than their own brains compared to analytical thinkers.

The investigators suggest that smartphones make intuitive thinkers become more lazy thinkers than normal.

While more research studies are still being carried out to learn more about how to protect the brain, experts continue to warn against the regular use of these devices. It is worth realizing that there are various ways to protect and enhance brain health.

According to multiple research studies, some spices like turmeric could be helpful for brain health. Turmeric has a polyphenol called curcumin, which is loaded with well-studied, disease-fighting agents.

These are its antifungal, adaptogenic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticarcinogenic, antiproliferative, antiviral, insulin-sensitizing, androgenic, neurorestorative, and metal-chelating properties.

It also contains antiseptic, anti-platelet, antioxidant, anti-amyloidogenic, anti-cytotoxic, antibiotic, antimicrobial, immunomodulating, and anticatabolic agents.

Curcumin has long been investigated by researchers due to its ability to help in cognitive function and health. This means that it could work wonders in helping the brain function at its best. This natural healing ingredient has even been found to aid in fighting certain neurological conditions.

These include Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and stroke damage.

Experts even say that it aids in boosting the regeneration of brain stem cells. Curcumin may also fight inflammation and this is particularly beneficial for brain health.

Today, formulas like Divine Bounty Curcumin have been found to aid in delivering the therapeutic goodness of this natural remedy (http://amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-BioPerine-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00VSVKJ8I).
