It’s sometimes hard to say when investing in a lawyer will help you more with a legal case than just taking on the endeavor on your own. If I’m being honest, it’s almost always better to have a trained professional on your side, but they can be expensive and we understand that. However, there are a couple cases where paying for a lawyer will help you substantially more than if you didn’t have one. Here are 4 of those examples:

1.      Insurance payouts. My brother recently was in a bad car accident of which he had no cause. Both our insurance and the insurance of the other party wasn’t willing to pay for his medical bills even though they were substantial. We hired a lawyer and he was allotted a lump sum that exceeded the medical bills. We would have had to pay those bills ourselves if we had not hired a lawyer.

2.      Corporate expenditures. In all honesty, most corporations aren’t afraid of your calls and complaints. One of my professors was continually being sent bills from a cable company that he had not subscribed to or contracted with. He didn’t understand the bills and called the company. They said that it was a mistake on their part and would stop sending him bills. They didn’t. He continued to be charged for a product that he wasn’t receiving until he called his lawyer and they sent a letter to the cable company threatening to sue. After that the bills stopped.

3.      Immigration and federal laws. Although this specifically is not a subject I have direct experience with, I know friends that have had problems with it. They have all said that it’s incredibly important to have a lawyer in your corner that knows what they’re doing. One of the best in the business is the Moore Law Firm. They specialize in a variety of different legal cases, but they know what they’re doing with immigration legal services. If you’re having troubles with immigration, especially right now, it would be worth your time to contact the Moore Law Firm and hire out their services.

4.      Traffic violations. If you have a court hearing or appearance, it’ll make a big difference if you show up with a lawyer pleading for your case. It shows responsibility and dedication which looks good in court cases. It’ll save you the ticket expense and often will save you money from insurance increases and other premiums.

Hopefully these applications have helped to demonstrate the necessity of a lawyer. Although they can be expensive, it’s important to know that there’s a reason as to why. As I stated before, sometimes it’s better to have someone who knows the field when we’re going into the foreign world of law.
