(Newswire.net — December 27, 2020) — Got some pesky period stains that you can’t seem to get rid of? We hope the following tips are going to help you out! These tips should assist with removing both fresh and old period stains.

Fresh Stains

If you have fresh period stains, then you are in luck! In fact, it is dead simple to remove period stains if they have yet to dry.

All you need to do is run the stained area under a warm tap. The blood will just wash away. If a little bit is left over, then mix some soap onto it. Alternatively, you can throw them in the washing machine. They will be pristine when you pull them out again. This is only really something that is going to work with underwear, though.

If you have stained jeans or pants, then the job is a little bit more difficult. However, it isn’t impossible. Just follow these steps:

  • Add the clothing to cold water and leave them to soak for thirty minutes.
  • Squeeze in the juice of a lemon.
  • Leave for thirty minutes
  • Squeeze out the water and add the clothing to your next wash in the washing machine.

Old Stains

This is where things start to become a little bit trickier. Old stains are difficult to remove but, in most cases, they are not going to be impossible. You are going to need a couple of basic supplies. One of which you may even have in your home already.

Here, you are going to need to get hold of some meat tenderizer. You will be able to find this in all good supermarkets. The purpose of the meat tenderizer is to break down the blood. When you put the stained clothing in the wash next, all of that blood should just wash away. This works in the vast majority of cases. So, how do you do that? Just follow these steps:

  • Add the clothing to cold water and let is soak for one hour.
  • Rub meat tenderizer into the stain. Make sure you rub it well. This way it will be able to eliminate the stain properly.
  • Leave for thirty minutes
  • Add to the washing machine

You should not be using this method if you are cleaning colors. Instead, the job will be a little bit harder. You will need to use baking soda and water. Follow these steps:

  • Make a paste from water and baking soda. It should be one part water to two parts baking soda. It will almost be the consistency of toothpaste.
  • Rub the baking soda mixture into the stain. Add as much as you want to it. The more, the better.
  • Leave it like this for thirty minutes
  • Add the stained clothing to the washing machine

If neither of these methods work, then there is one last thing you can do before the clothing may need to be confined to the garbage can. Luckily, this doesn’t need anything too crazy in terms of supplies. Just sat, water, and a toothbrush. This is the method that you will need to follow:

  • Mix an equal amount of water and salt. It should create a paste.
  • Use a toothbrush (preferably one you will never put in your mouth) to attempt to brush the stain away.
  • Add to the washing machine

We are positive that these methods will work for most of you. However, sadly, if that period stain is too ingrained in the fabric you can’t really do much. This means that you may need to throw away your clothing. However, do everything we listed here first. They are fairly cheap solutions and they may work.
