(Newswire.net — January 29, 2021) Orlando, FL — Scientists have been carrying out studies to look into the various aspects of cardiovascular health. Some studies investigate on the link between menopause symptoms and the heart.

One was carried out by researchers from The University of Queensland.

In this research, it has been found that women who had hot flushes and night sweats were 70 percent at the increased odds of having heart attacks, strokes, and angina. The female subjects experienced the symptoms after menopause.

One of the researchers of this study was School of Public Health PhD student Dr Dongshan Zhu.

The researchers have particularly found women of any age who experience hot flushes and night sweats, are more prone to having non-fatal cardiovascular events. These symptoms are also known as vasomotor symptoms or VMS.

“Until now, it’s been unclear if VMS is associated with cardiovascular disease, but now we know it to be true,” Dr Zhu said.

It is further worth mentioning that VMS before menopause also increases the odds of cardiovascular events by 40 percent in women.

Today, the scientific community continues to carry out a number of studies to look into the therapeutic effects of B vitamins for the heart. It has been found B vitamins like B6 may be useful for cardiovascular well-being.

A study was carried out and it involved rats deficient with vitamin B6. The deficiency has been linked with higher blood cholesterol levels as well as the development of lesions, which may trigger artery blockages following exposure to homocysteine.

This was compared to rats with adequate levels of B6.  There have actually been many studies revealing the heart health benefits of this nutrient.

Scientists carried out a randomized controlled trial and it involved 15 healthy adults with siblings suffering from heart disease.

In this research, the subjects were divided into two groups, the placebo and one receiving 250 mg of vitamin B6 and 5 mg of folic acid every day for two years.

It has been found that the group consuming B6 and folic acid had reduced levels of homocysteine. They even had less abnormal heart tests during exercise compared to the placebo group. This essentially means intake of these nutrients may generally reduce the odds of heart disease.

B vitamins have long been researched on due to their strong medicinal values. These nutrients are linked with a myriad of health benefits, and are known to inhibit the onset of certain diseases.

Today, extra-strength formulas like Divine Bounty B Vitamin Complex are widely resorted to by experts.

It contains Choline, Pantothenic acid, Biotin, Vitamin B12, Folic Acid, Niacin, Riboflavin, Thiamin, and vitamin B6 (amazon.com/dp/B07414752B).
