KOLAS is very much in tune with everything that moves within the cannabis/hemp industry. We are vertically integrated and horizontally diversified – enabling us to function and thrive in a very limber business model. We do everything from cultivation, manufacturing, branding, logistics and distribution. We are involved in every aspect of it – pioneering and creating the marketplace.

  • Please tell us how you make sure your customers will become raving fans of your company?

We are all about serving our customers – being consistent with product, service and brand experience – but also being a part of their lives. That is one of the key components: we want to become a family member in every aspect, a friend, and a part of their life. That is the culture we have built in our company, as well as in our clientele. The question we ask is: How can we fit into your lifestyle to help elevate you?

  • Please tell us the one thing that separates your business from the competition.

One thing we are really known for is that we are pioneers, and competition typically follows pioneers. We believe that we are always prevailing and creating. One unique thing about our company is that we are in “creation” mode, and we do not operate in “preservation” mode. We are constantly creating and embarking and really pioneering in the industry. We are creators, rather than preservers. Typically, people who have reached the peak in their organization are in a preservation mode. We are fully in creative mode. We are constantly pioneering for a better industry.

  • And to finish this section, please tell us what the one major key to your company’s success is?

Making mistakes and learning from them is the key to success. We believe that you will never know and never learn until you try. We are very bullish on being willing to embark on growing and learning throughout the path to better our future position in the industry.

  • For our readers just starting to build a company, what advice can you give entrepreneurs just starting out with a new venture?

Just start. Do it now. Perfection will come when you start to perfect. Really just starting is the key component. Most people want to get something perfect first, but we really believe that perfection will come once you start, with starting being the key component.

  • For entrepreneurs seeking to build a business as successful as yours, what big piece of advice can you give them when times get a little challenging?

We believe in having courage. Have courage. Many things will pop up to deter you, but that’s typically a sign that tells you that you are heading in the right direction. Having courage is key.

  • In today’s fast changing business environment, how do you stay abreast of things?

We stay limber and calm and excited. Your state of mind is the key to prevailing through change and challenges.

  • What is your “Why”? In one sentence, why do you get up in the morning?

Responsibilities. Your responsibilities are a great burden to have to help you to follow through. It carries you through your days and keeps you going.

  • In one sentence, what is the most important thing one has to do to be a great leader?

One must know how to follow before they can lead.

  • In one sentence, describe how important your customers are to your business?

Our customers are our lifeline, and they give our company its purpose.

  • In one sentence, describe a positive way that technology can make the world a better place?

Technology gives us the ability to touch so many people and communicate with them quickly with ease, with a small amount of capital, and in ways that we were not able to do before.

  • In one sentence, tell us something positive to motivate our readers?

It is better to say, “I won’t do that again”, rather than “I wish I did.”

  • In one sentence, tell us how you start your day to get ready?

Focus on the things that need to be done and get them done.

  • In one sentence, describe how you handle rejection and setback?

Realize that you get a lot out of your state of mind, so the sooner you can get the setbacks out of your mind and move on, the sooner you can prevail.

  • In one sentence, describe what your hiring philosophy is?

Personality is so crucial for us; the rest we can teach.

  • In one sentence, describe how you keep your sanity in a competitive business environment?

As you work through the challenges in your business, every day you can get stronger and wiser, and after a while you realize you can go through anything.
