(Newswire.net — February 26, 2021) Orlando, FL — In a number of research studies, scientists have long revealed that diet plays a significant role in the prevention or onset of diseases. It is worth noting that foods highly processed are studied widely due to the health risks carried along with their consumption.

Scientists carried out two large European studies, which were published by The British Medical Journal, BMJ.

In these research studies, the researchers found positive links between consumption of ultra-processed foods and the heightened odds of cardiovascular disease and death.

According to experts, highly-processed foods include ready-to-eat meals containing food additives, packaged baked goods and snacks, fizzy drinks, sugary cereals, dehydrated vegetable soups, and reconstituted meat and fish products.

These are foods usually high in fat, added sugar, and salt but lack fibre, vitamins, and essential minerals.

The first study was carried out by researchers based in Brazil and France. There they found potential associations between ultra-processed foods and risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease.

The results particularly revealed that there was a link between significantly higher rates of overall cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease, and cerebrovascular disease with an absolute 10 percent increase in the proportion of ultra-processed food in the diet.

The second research was based in Spain and it found that increased consumption of ultra-processed foods were linked with a 62 percent increased risk of all cause mortality.

Today, more and more researchers carry out studies to look into the best possible ways to fight diseases, and promote longevity. Interestingly, some natural remedies have been found to aid in fighting diseases and extending lifespan.

Curcumin is one and it is a widely studied natural remedy today. It can be obtained from a medicinal spice called turmeric.

According to researchers, curcumin has antioxidative, anti-inflammatory, chemopreventive, and anti-neurodegenerative properties.

In a study, it has been found that curcumin has been able to extend the life span of two different strains of D. melanogaster. It is similarly worth mentioning that curcumin also modulated the expression of several aging-related genes, including mth, thor, InR, and JNK.

On top of these activities, the disease-fighting agents of curcumin are found to be useful in enhancing lifespan.

More studies are still encouraged to explore the longevity-promoting effects of curcumin deeper. Formulas like VitaBreeze Curcumin could be an extremely helpful source of this therapeutic ingredient.

It is important to stress that this extra-strength supplement is equipped with black pepper, which increases the absorption of curcumin inside the body (amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Complex-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00JA4TLTI/).
