(Newswire.net — March 18, 2021) Orlando, FL — More and more studies are being carried out to learn more about diabetes and how its prevalence can be reduced.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reveals that in 2015, 9.4 percent of the U.S. population had diabetes. It is further worth mentioning that around 40 percent of adults in the country have prediabetes.

Experts have long been stressing the importance of keeping blood glucose at a healthy level as it can decrease the risk of diabetes.

New research has revealed that having a more individualized dietary approach may produce better results when it comes to fighting diabetes.

According to Purna Kashyap, the current models of predicting blood glucose levels perform well, but they tend to bucket everything, like fats and carbohydrates, into one category.

Kashyap is co-director of the Mayo Clinic Center for Individualized Medicine Microbiome Program, in Rochester, MN.

In a study, the research team has found that there is a new model that could predict the unique response to foods in individuals who want to manage their blood glucose levels.

The findings of this interesting study was published in the JAMA Network Open journal.

An individualized diet approach could work wonders in potentially reducing diabetes risk. Scientists strongly recommend increased intake of certain foods and avoiding the unhealthy ones to ward off this condition.

Some studies have shown that there are actually all-natural ingredients found beneficial in fighting diabetes. One is an Ayurvedic herb called ashwagandha, which scientists have found to work wonders in making cells more sensitive or even less resistant to insulin.

In an animal study, this therapeutic herb has demonstrated its ability to reduce high levels of blood glucose, serum insulin, and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c; a measure of blood glucose). The treatment also led to improvements in insulin sensitivity as well as glucose tolerance.

It is worth mentioning that the test involved animal subjects with type 2 diabetes.

Researchers reveal that the use of ashwagandha led to a decrease in blood glucose levels by 12 percent. They suggest it could work as effectively as standard prescription drugs.

What makes it all the more beneficial is that it can even keep up with the production of insulin and fight fatty liver with diabetes.

There are actually many health-enhancing and disease-fighting effects associated with the use of ashwagandha. It is so therapeutic that it is even widely resorted to by many consumers today.

One of the most trusted formulas is Divine Bounty Ashwagandha, which is known for its high potency. It even has black pepper that works in increasing the absorption of ashwagandha inside the body (www.amazon.com/Organic-Ashwagandha-Capsules-Absorption-Ashwaganda/dp/B072KFLL6X).
