(Newswire.net — August 5, 2021) Orlando, FL — There is undeniably an increasing number of people who struggle with psychiatric issues. Today, experts continue to research the various aspects of mental health and its threats.

A study was published in the PLOS Biology, which is an open-access journal.

It was carried out by an international group of researchers who looked into large data sets from the U.S. and Denmark. They recommended a possible association between environmental pollution exposure and an increased prevalence of psychiatric disorders.

The researchers found that poor air quality was linked with higher rates of bipolar disorder as well as major depression in both the Danish and U.S. populations.

According to computational biologist Atif Khan, the first author of the new study, their study shows that living in polluted areas, especially early on in life, is predictive of mental disorders in both the United States and Denmark.

“The physical environment — in particular air quality — warrants more research to better understand how our environment is contributing to neurological and psychiatric disorders,” Khan adds.

Air pollution is actually just one of the potential culprits of mental health issues. Experts continue to research into the ways to identify threats to mental health and some remedies that could be helpful in battling psychiatric problems.

Turmeric is one of these remedies, and it has long been a popular subject of research due to its remarkable healing benefits.

According to researchers, this natural remedy aids in battling mental health issues like mild depression and even major depressive disorder (MDD). This is believed to be due to the curcumin it contains.

It is worth noting curcumin has adaptogenic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticarcinogenic, antiproliferative, antiviral, androgenic, antifibrotic, neurorestorative, and metal-chelating properties.

It also contains anti-platelet, antioxidant, anti-amyloidogenic, anti-cytotoxic, antibiotic, antimicrobial, immunomodulating, and anti-catabolic agents.

According to experts, the antioxidants in curcumin aid in scavenging free radicals. It is worth remembering that free radicals are found to trigger inflammation due to their ability to lessen oxidative stress.

Further, they can also decrease inflammation. In previous research studies, inflammation has been associated with various undesirable health consequences. These particularly include the increased odds of depression.

It is also worth mentioning that curcumin has also demonstrated its ability to combat depressive symptoms in a number of studies.

To benefit from its use, it is wise to consider formulas like Divine Bounty Curcumin. There are many benefits linked with the use of this supplement, such as its high potency and purity.

It even has black pepper which increases the absorption of curcumin inside the body (www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-BioPerine-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00VSVKJ8I).
