My Favorite Video Games

You know that feeling you get when you have just finished a video game or a tv series and now you are not sure what to do. There is nothing left in the world for you to do. Well, the best solution to get rid of this feeling is to start a new video game and then another video game and trust me there are so many great video games, you won’t run out of them. To help you get started here are some of my favorite video games that you can try.

Cities: Skylines

Build a cute residential area. Build industry. Solve a file. Allocate a commercial area. Provide education and health care. Solve a file. Build apartments. Connect to a highway. Increase security. Destroy squats. Solve a file. Place a crematorium and a garbage dump. Build skyscrapers. Solve a file. Define districts. Make laws. Expand your area. Solve a file. Traffic simulator or city builder? Cities: Skylines is all in one, but no other game offers such a natural and organic experience. The sky’s the limit!

Dark Souls 3

I avoided this entire series like the plague for years. Good gitten wasn’t for me, I told myself. When I finally decided to give Dark Souls 3 a shot and finally beat the first boss, I became completely hooked. The game has pushed me hard against the facts and punished me mercilessly for my bad gaming habits. I can therefore easily say that the entire Souls series has made me a better gamer by teaching me a skillset that can be used in every game. A gamer couldn’t ask for a better Rocky training montage.

Destiny 2

One of the best free to play online games out there, it didn’t start out like this and you had to buy the game, so I guess it is a good thing for us. Nevertheless Destiny 2 has everything a player needs, an open world role playing environment, with tons of player vs player actions for those who enjoy PVP and for the likes of me who are in to PVE, I get to explore the world, interact with NPCs and do luna’s howl quest among others to collect legendary weapons. So, whatever you are looking for in a game, you will find it in Destiny.

Dishonored

Seven levels. There is nothing more than that in the first Dishonored. At its release in 2012, the game even received some criticism for its allegedly short duration. Completely wrong of course. Seven years later, I can still remember every meticulously designed level. Every depressing view of the once beautiful Dunwall. Any ingenious way to neutralize your targets in a non-lethal way. With Lady Boyle’s Last Party, Arkane Studios may even earn the award for best video game level ever.

Doom

With the Doom reboot, developer Id Software has successfully brought youth sentiment to the present. Old times relive when I’m a Doom guy in hell with the ‘Big ******* Gun’ blasting Cacodemons. The gameplay is also still fast and rock hard, with the best defense being the attack. Still, the weapon upgrades, Glory Kills and id Tech 6 engine ensure that this rehabilitated classic also works well with contemporary first-person shooters. Because of the perfect balance between nostalgia and new-fangled I have not enjoyed a single player campaign in an FPS in years. Hell has never been so heavenly.

Borderlands 3

Another great addition to the Borderlands series by Gearbox Software. From the moment you start playing the game you will be hooked to it. This new sequel has taken everything up a notch, there are new worlds to explore and new enemies to kill and best of all new weapons to try out. Even if you don’t have time to play the entire game, you can still check out new gear by using Borderlands 3 Save Editor. Just like the previous versions of the game, you can use BL3 Save Editor to edit your saved game and add all kinds of weapons and gear.
