(Newswire.net — October 15, 2021) Orlando, FL — The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases warns that there are at least 1.5 million individuals in the U.S. with rheumatoid arthritis.

According to experts, RA is highly treatable. There are even many who stop experiencing symptoms. It is worth mentioning that early treatment is vital in slowing the progression of this condition. It is also extremely important in preventing long-term joint damage.

According to the 2015 American College of Rheumatology Guideline for the Treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis, treatment should be started within six months of the appearance of the symptoms.

Kevin Deane, MD, Ph.D., says that a big reason that treatment of RA is often delayed is that people don’t realize joint symptoms may be something dangerous.

Deane is a rheumatologist and an associate professor of medicine at the University of Colorado School of Medicine’s Anschutz Medical Campus in Denver.

“More evidence exists that smoking is one of the strongest risk factors for RA,” Deane adds.

A review of research was published in the Current Rheumatology Reports.

In this review, it has been found that smoking appears to increase inflammation throughout the body, but particularly in the tissues of your lungs. This, according to experts, increases the risk for RA.

While there are medications widely used for rheumatoid arthritis, it is worth mentioning that some natural remedies have been found to work wonders in fighting it.

According to studies, resveratrol and its antioxidant abilities may be helpful. It is worth realizing that resveratrol could work in eliminating free radical expression in the body. Free radicals are harmful chemicals and their buildup inside the body leads to oxidative stress.

Resveratrol has been found to have polyphenolic compounds that act on the cellular mitochondria. These polyphenols do not just react with the mitochondria, but also alter their membrane potential.

In some studies, the use of resveratrol has been found to reverse the effects of nitric oxide in tissues. It is important to remember that nitric oxide acts on cells and even works in activating apoptosis.

Increased nitric oxide levels are directly associated with high cell death rates, which degenerate tissues over time and could trigger rheumatoid arthritis.

It has further been found that resveratrol use blocks cell apoptosis and this prevents tissue damage.

Its anti-inflammatory effects are also found helpful in fighting arthritis. While more research studies are still being carried out, it is worth noting that its use is highly recommended.

To experience its benefits, it is wise to consider the use of formulas like Purest Vantage Resveratrol (amazon.com/Resveratrol-Supplement-Trans-Resveratrol-Additional-Polyphenol/dp/B01N3LZY3O).
