(Newswire.net — October 18, 2021) Orlando, FL — Scientists have been looking into the therapeutic goodness of some of the world’s oldest beverages like coffee. In recent research, coffee has been found to work wonders in protecting liver health.

In a 26-year study, it has been found that subjects who consumed three-plus cups of coffee daily were less likely to be hospitalized from liver-related illnesses. This research involved over 14,000 participants in the U.S.

It gathered data from a major national heart disease study. It also involved the consumption of under two 8-ounce cups of coffee every day.

According to Emily Hu, who spearheaded the study, drinkers may be at lower risk for liver disease.

Hu is a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, in Baltimore.

The findings of this interesting research have also shown that low and moderate amounts of coffee may not at all be harmful to liver health.

It is also worth mentioning that the link between coffee consumption with healthier livers remained noticeable even after some adjustments were made for other factors, such as race, individual diets, heart issues, and income.

Dr. David Bernstein says that the findings in this study support the current body of evidence that coffee consumption is associated with a lower risk of developing advanced liver disease.

Bernstein directs hepatology at the Sandra Atlas Bass Center for Liver Diseases at Northwell Health in Manhasset, N.Y.

Experts have long been strongly stressing the importance of taking measures to protect liver health. It is worth realizing that today, scientists increasingly study the effects of natural remedies like milk thistle for liver health.

This medicinal plant has been used for hundreds of years in the treatment of health issues affecting the liver and gallbladder.

Researchers highlight the silymarin that milk thistle contains, and this is due to the fact that it has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects. These therapeutic ingredients are the reasons why milk thistle has been found beneficial for liver issues.

According to scientific investigators, silymarin works in inhibiting toxins from attaching to liver cells. What makes it all the more beneficial is that it can also hold free radicals in check. Free radicals are considered to be unstable molecules that are harmful to healthy cells.

There have been many studies highlighting the remarkable healing goodness of milk thistle. Due to its ability to protect and enhance liver health, milk thistle is recommended for a range of medicinal purposes.

This therapeutic ingredient and its healing benefits may be obtained through the use of certain formulas, such as Divine Bounty Milk Thistle (amazon.com/Milk-Thistle-Supplement-Standardized-Extract/dp/B01LWI4A51).
