(Newswire.net — October 22, 2021) Orlando, FL — Today, more and more researchers are looking into some all-natural ways to help individuals with Parkinson’s disease. Surprisingly, some hobbies like singing have been found to work wonders in aiding PD sufferers.

Scientists reveal that singing aids in enhancing respiratory and swallow control in individuals with Parkinson’s disease. This is according to a pilot study that has found singing beneficial in enhancing mood and motor symptoms.

What makes singing even more beneficial is that it also decreases physiological indicators of stress.

This research was carried out by the Iowa State University scientists and was presented at the Society for Neuroscience 2018 conference.

According to Elizabeth Stegemöller, an assistant professor of kinesiology, the results from the pilot study revealed improvements in mood and motor symptoms, as well as reduced physiological indicators of stress.

This research involved measuring the blood pressure, heart rate, and cortisol levels of 17 participants in a therapeutic singing group. It is further worth mentioning that the subjects reported feelings of anxiety, sadness, anger, and happiness.

The investigators found there was a reduction in all three levels.

More and more scientists are carrying out studies to learn about other ways to combat Parkinson’s disease in a natural way. One of the ways involves the use of a powerful antioxidant called resveratrol.

Scientists say that resveratrol aids in slowing the progression of Parkinson’s disease. This is due to its ability to aid in maintaining and protecting brain cells.

Studies reveal that the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties of resveratrol may aid in counteracting degenerative factors, which contribute to the development of Parkinson’s disease.

There are also studies revealing that resveratrol enhances the outcomes of a surgical procedure called deep brain stimulation (DBS). This is a treatment used for individuals with advanced stages of Parkinson’s disease.

Scientists carried out a laboratory research study and found that treatment of dopaminergic neurons combined with resveratrol offered protection from cell death. It is worth noting that the treatment was administered before exposure to a toxin found to cause Parkinson’s disease.

They suggest that the protective effects seemed to result from resveratrol’s ability to regulate the expression of genes that control the cell cycle death.

In lab and animal studies, it has been found resveratrol offered protection to the neurons against free radicals, toxins, and stroke injury. It has even inhibited levels of two types of inflammatory proteins in the brain area where neuron damage occurs in Parkinson’s.

To experience the healing goodness of resveratrol, experts strongly recommend the use of formulas like Purest Vantage Resveratrol (http://www.amazon.com/Resveratrol-Supplement-Trans-Resveratrol-Additional-Polyphenol/dp/B01N3LZY3O).
