(Newswire.net — November 23, 2021) Orlando, FL — Cardiovascular health issues are undeniably prevalent nowadays. It is important to note that there are various factors found to contribute to the development of the condition.

There are various studies carried out to look not just into the risk factors, but also some remedies helpful for the disease. These include meditation, which has also been linked with a myriad of health benefits.

A study was carried out and published in the American Journal of Cardiology.

In this data analysis carried out by Veterans Affairs researchers and colleagues, it has been found meditation was associated with reduced cardiovascular risk.

The 2017 American Heart Association scientific statement suggests that meditation may be beneficial in lessening the odds of cardiovascular disease. This is due to its strong potentials in helping with risk factors like cholesterol levels and blood pressure.

This study was spearheaded by lead researcher Dr. Chayakrit Krittanawong — of the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center, Baylor College of Medicine, and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai — and his colleagues.

They looked into data from the National Health Interview Survey, which was conducted annually by the National Center for Health Statistics. It is worth noting that this survey collects information on a wide range of health topics taken from a nationally representative sample.

The investigators analyzed data involving over 61,000 survey participants. Of those, almost 6,000, or nearly 10 percent reported they participated in some form of meditation.

They found that those who meditated had reduced rates of diabetes, stroke, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, and coronary artery disease, compared with those who did not meditate.

The findings further reveal that the greatest difference was in coronary artery disease. Those who meditated were 51 percent as likely as those who didn’t have the condition.

The prevalence of other cardiovascular risks in the meditation group was 65 percent for high cholesterol, 70 percent for diabetes, 76 percent for stroke, and 86 percent for high blood pressure compared with the non-meditation group.

Scientists have been carrying out research studies to look into the remedies beneficial for the heart. There are medicinal ingredients found in the kitchen like lion’s mane, which is loaded with therapeutic ingredients.

In some studies, the lion’s mane has been found to work wonders in delivering heart health benefits. This remedy continues to be a popular choice among health-conscious consumers. Some research studies suggest it could work wonders in delivering disease-fighting benefits.

It may be obtained through the use of formulas like Divine Bounty Lion’s Mane. (https://www.amazon.com/Organic-Lions-Mane-Mushroom-Capsules/dp/B07LGR1KN7).
