Study Warns Alcoholism Aggravates Insomnia

The researchers found that a significant proportion of the literature focusing on insomnia and the link between the sleep disorder and AD seems to be bi-directional in nature. The researchers also revealed that AD may also be linked with short sleep duration, obstructive sleep apnea, circadian abnormalities, and sleep-related movement disorder.

Further, it has been found that treatment for insomnia combined with cognitive-behavioral therapy shows promise for sleep disorder treatment in the context of alcohol dependence.
