(Newswire.net — January 26, 2022) Orlando, FL — Antibiotics are used in the treatment of infections like UTIs. While they are undeniably useful, it is worth noting that in a study, this medication is found responsible for thousands of ER visits.

This research was spearheaded by Daniel Budnitz, M.D., at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

It has been found that the side effects of antibiotics have caused an estimated 142,000 visits to the hospital emergency department every year in the U.S.

The findings of this interesting study were published in Clinical Infectious Diseases.

According to Budnitz, his number is an important reminder for physicians and patients that antibiotics can have serious side effects and should only be taken when necessary.

The researchers took into account the frequency of antibiotic use according to the prescription. It has been found children who were less than a year had the highest rates of adverse effects.

Further, half of the visits were due to reactions from antibiotics used in the treatment of bacterial infections.

It is worth noting this research is from the National Electronic Injury Surveillance System-Cooperative Adverse Drug Event Surveillance (NEISS-CADES) project.

Nearly 80 percent of all the adverse events produced by antibiotics were allergic reactions.

Nowadays, experts continue to investigate the impacts of antibiotics. Many of them strongly warn against the misuse and overuse of this medication. It is important to note that urinary tract infections (UTIs) are one of the reasons why this pharmaceutical drug is widely used.

Inhibiting the onset or recurrence of this infection is vital in lessening the demand and use of antibiotics. There are many ways to ward off UTIs, and these include using a therapeutic sugar called D-mannose.

D-mannose can be found in a UTI remedy called cranberry juice, which is thought to help fight the infection. This therapeutic ingredient works in binding with E.coli, which causes the infection.

Once it is able to stick with the bacteria, it then works in flushing them out of the body. This inhibits them from traveling to the urinary tract and causing the infection.

Extra-strength formulas like Purest Vantage D-mannose are widely resorted to nowadays, especially by those with recurrent infections.

This supplement is made carefully to deliver the UTI-fighting goodness of D-mannose. It even has added ingredients like cranberry and dandelion, which are loaded with therapeutic benefits.

Purest Vantage D-mannose may be an excellent choice for UTI sufferers who do not want to expose themselves to the side effects of antibiotics (http://www.amazon.com/Mannose-Capsules-600mg-Per-Cap/dp/B071J35CP5).
