(Newswire.net — January 27, 2022) Orlando, FL — Health authorities have been strongly warning against the risk factors of urinary tract infections (UTIs). This infection is caused mostly by bacteria that are able to enter the prostate, urethra, bladder, or kidneys.

Over the years, researchers have carried out studies to look into the various risk factors of the infection. While it commonly affects women, it is worth keeping in mind it can also happen to men.

As a matter of fact, research has shown 12 percent of men experience symptoms associated with UTIs. There are actually certain reasons why males may be at an increased risk of UTIs, and this includes age.

It’s been found that men who are older than 50 are more prone to the infection compared to younger men. Such an increased likelihood is more common in men who are unable to properly empty their bladder due to an enlarged prostate, and this results in recurrent infections.

There are also other reasons why may do not end up emptying their bladders such as uncontrolled diabetes, nerve damage, stroke, or injury to the spine. It is further worth being warned kidney stones can also lead to an infection.

In younger men, UTI development is more likely due to sexually transmitted diseases. Recently getting a procedure involving the urinary system can also increase the risk of infection. When this infection develops, it leads to incontinence, increased urinary frequency, burning sensation while urinating, blood or foul smell in the urine, pain in the abdomen near the bladder, or chills.

Antibiotics are the primary course of treatment for this infection. However, there are also other remedies available especially in preventing the onset of the infection.

One is to practice proper hygiene, and this is especially applicable to men with uncircumcised penises. There are also remedies like cranberry, which can be useful in reducing the risk of infection.

It is worth noting that cranberry is also recommended for individuals suffering from recurrent UTIs. This remedy has many infection-fighting components and one is the therapeutic sugar called D-mannose.

Unlike antibiotics that harm both UTI-causing and beneficial bacteria in the body, D-mannose only destroys UTI-culprits.

It works by binding with E.coli, halting the bacteria’s passage towards the urinary tract to spark an infection.

Intake of D-mannose is common nowadays, especially among individuals who are trying to increase the protection of their urinary tract. It is also obtained widely through the use of formulas like Divine Bounty D-mannose. (https://www.amazon.com/D-Mannose-600mg-Cranberry-Dandelion-Extract/dp/B01LX5KGF0)
