(Newswire.net — March 18, 2022) Orlando, FL — There are over 32 million people in the United States who suffer from osteoarthritis, which is a degenerative joint disease.

In the country, it is the most common type of arthritis and is common among individuals of advanced age. Despite the increasing number of research working toward finding its cure, it has remained incurable.

The good news is that it is manageable through a combination of techniques, such as regular exercise, weight management, the use of braces or canes, dietary improvements, and the use of various pain relievers and anti-inflammatory medications.

Osteoarthritis is undeniably a painful condition, and it even leads to disability that gives birth to massive unemployment in some areas around the globe.

It is worth noting that the use of certain medications, such as nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) may be helpful. This pain reliever works in reducing inflammation and symptoms of pain.

However, it is also worth noting that its use may actually result in adverse effects like the increased risk of stroke and gastrointestinal bleeding.

Over decades, researchers have been looking into the effects of plant-based remedies for pain relief. There are all-natural anti-inflammatories like the deep yellow-orange spice called curcumin, which has long been researched by scientists.

Studies reveal curcumin has antifungal, adaptogenic, androgenic, antifibrotic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, renoprotective, and metal-chelating properties.

It also contains an anticoagulant, antiseptic, anti-platelet, antioxidant, anti-amyloidogenic, antibiotic, antimicrobial, immunomodulating, and anti-catabolic agents.

Curcumin’s anti-inflammatory benefits are found to be responsible for its arthritis-fighting effects. Studies have shown it may be beneficial against rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.

A study was carried out and it involved 139 people with symptoms of knee osteoarthritis. It is worth stressing that the subjects had moderately severe symptoms and were required to be treated with NSAID.

In this study, they were treated with NSAID diclofenac (50 mg, twice daily) or curcumin (500 mg, three times daily) for one month.

It’s been found that curcumin has anti-inflammatory benefits. According to the investigators, both treatments actually produced arthritis pain relief.

It has been particularly found that 94 percent of those taking curcumin and 97 percent of those who received diclofenac reported at least 50 percent improvement. What makes the study findings even more beneficial is that those who took curcumin reported fewer side effects.

There are many arthritis sufferers today who use curcumin as a safer alternative to pain relievers. Consumers also turn to its use for various preventive health purposes.

Today, extra-strength supplements like VitaBreeze Curcumin. Aside from being highly potent, it also has black pepper which increases curcumin absorption inside the body (amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Complex-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00JA4TLTI/).
