(Newswire.net — May 10, 2022) Orlando, FL — Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD is one of the severe lung health issues that experts strongly warn against.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), chronic lower respiratory diseases were the third leading cause of death in the United States in 2014.

In 2016, the Global Burden of Disease Study reports there were 251 million COPD cases. This progressive life-threatening lung disease claimed the lives of 3.17 million people in 2015.

The World Health Organization (WHO) warns COPD happens to approximately 65 million individuals. This lung health issue is prevalent not just in the United States but also in other countries. In the U.S., 24 million people are found to live with this condition.

Statistics further reveal that over 90 percent of COPD deaths happen in low and middle-income countries. Its primary culprit is exposure to tobacco smoke, but there are other causes like indoor pollutants.

Experts stress the importance of recognizing end-stage symptoms of COPD as this can be significantly helpful to those with this condition.

The stages of COPD are mild, moderate, severe, and end-stage. When it develops, it leads to symptoms like hypoxia or low oxygen in the body’s tissues, low blood oxygen, hypoxemia, and cyanosis, a bluish hue to the skin due to oxygen deprivation.

It may even result in chronic respiratory failure, which happens when the respiratory system cannot take in enough oxygen or release enough carbon dioxide.

During the end-stage COPD, there are often more flare-ups. Sufferers are also more likely to stay in the hospital during these flare-ups.

There are other symptoms like severe limitations in physical activities, including difficulty walking, shortness of breath, difficulty eating, frequent lung infections, or confusion or memory loss due to oxygen deprivation.

Due to the increasing prevalence of this lung health issue, more and more experts are looking to find the best possible remedies to help sufferers. One is Rhodiola Rosea, which according to research may be beneficial in those with a lung condition.

In a 12-week study, it has been found Rhodiola supplementation significantly enhances the tidal volume of subjects diagnosed with moderate to severe COPD.

It is worth mentioning tidal volume pertains to the amount of air inhaled and exhaled. Rhodiola has further been found to improve the ability of the body to exhale carbon dioxide during an exercise test called the maximum cardiopulmonary exercise test.

More studies are still being carried out to explore the lung health benefits of this natural remedy deeper. It can be obtained through the use of highly potent and pure formulas like Divine Bounty Rhodiola Rosea (https://www.amazon.com/Rhodiola-Rosea-Supplement-Siberian-Salidroside/dp/B07416DYPB).
