(Newswire.net — July 20, 2022) Orlando, FL — The scientific community continues to carry out various studies to learn about the various aspects of heart health and how it can be protected.

One of these research studies was recently published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

This Three Cities Study looked into the lifestyle and cardiovascular outcomes among French elderly adults. The goal of the investigators was to determine whether a healthy lifestyle can still provide health benefits in old age.

It is worth noting that a healthy lifestyle is marked by staying active, eating healthy, and avoiding conditions like hypertension.

It included almost 7,400 elderly adults aged 65 years or older from three French cities namely Bordeaux, Dijon, and Montpellier.

The investigators made the subjects complete medical exams and health questionnaires at the start of the study. The participants were then tracked for up to 12 years for key outcomes like heart attack, stroke, and death.

At the beginning of the study, only 5 percent of the subjects had ideal health. Ideal health pertains to achieving at least five of the American Heart Association’s “Life’s Simple 7.” Further, Life’s Simple 7 is eating healthy, maintaining a healthy weight, staying active, not smoking, and maintaining healthy levels of cholesterol, blood pressure, and blood sugar.

When these are followed, it could significantly decrease heart disease risk and enhance overall health.

According to researchers, the remaining 56 percent of the subjects had intermediate health, which is defined as having 3-4 of Life’s Simple 7. Further, 39 percent had poor health, defined as meeting two or less of these goals.

At the end of the study, there were 680 participants who developed stroke or heart disease. Almost 2,000 deaths were also reported.

While the prevalence of heart disease continues to increase, it is worth realizing that this condition is highly preventable. There are all-natural ways to ward off the condition or even reduce its severity.

One involves the use of a macromineral called magnesium, which low levels of are associated with the increased risk of fatal disorders like irregular heart rhythm or cardiac arrhythmias.

In a study, it has been found a diet low in magnesium was linked with the onset of arrhythmias. The good news is that magnesium supplementation has been shown to fix magnesium-related arrhythmias.

Scientists further suggest that supplementation of magnesium can aid in restoring healthy heart cell electrical functions. This has been found beneficial in fighting the development of arrhythmias at its source.

Magnesium has been found to combat other heart diseases. To experience its benefits, it is wise to consider the use of Divine Bounty Magnesium Citrate (http://amazon.com/Divine-Bounty-Magnesium-Citrate-Supplement/dp/B01LYWPNY6).
