(Newswire.net — August 31, 2022) Orlando, FL — Heart disease is one of the most common chronic ailments today. It is important to note that while this condition is quite common, it is preventable. There have been many studies that looked into the various aspects of this condition.

One study has shown that more than 40 percent of adults ages 50 to 64 in Sweden without heart disease had some fatty deposits in the arteries of the heart.

The findings of this interesting study were published in the American Heart Association’s flagship journal Circulation.

According to experts, atherosclerosis is a major cause of heart attacks. It is characterized by the buildup of fatty deposits in the blood vessels supplying blood to the heart.

Health care providers often use cardiac computed tomography, commonly known as a cardiac CT scan, for coronary artery calcification (CAC) scoring. It is a widely used approach in screening people who are at risk for heart disease even though they do not have symptoms yet.

It is worth noting the scan produces cross-sectional images of the vessels supplying blood to the heart muscle. This is to measure the presence and density of calcium-containing plaque in the coronary arteries.

“Measuring the amount of calcification is important, yet it does not give information about non-calcified atherosclerosis, which also increases heart attack risk,” said study author Göran Bergström, M.D., Ph.D.,

Bergström is a professor and senior consultant in clinical physiology in the department of molecular and clinical medicine at the University of Gothenburg’s Institute of Medicine in Gothenburg, Sweden.

In this study, the researchers randomly recruited participants aged 50 to 64 years of age. It is worth noting they come from the Swedish census register from 2013 to 2018 as part of the Swedish CArdioPulmonary BioImage Study (SCAPIS).

Various studies have been carried out to look into the different aspects of heart disease and how the prevalence of this condition may be reduced. Making dietary and lifestyle improvements have long been known to help protect the heart.

There are also certain remedies like glucosamine found to be particularly beneficial. This amino sugar has long been studied due to its remarkable arthritis-fighting benefits. A study shows its use was linked with a reduced risk of CVD death by 9 percent to 22 percent.

The same is true with the lowered odds of stroke and coronary heart disease. The anti-inflammatory effects of this remedy are believed to be the reason behind its heart health benefits. It is worth noting that it is used widely as an arthritis remedy due to its inflammation-fighting effects.

Today, it is obtained widely through the use of formulas like VitaBreeze Glucosamine (www.amazon.com/Glucosamine-Chondroitin-Turmeric-Dietary-Supplement/dp/B00DUMO9X4).
