What is there to do that a 15, 12, and 8-year-old might all want to do together – especially if one of those people (I wonder which!) isn’t that excited to spend any time with their super annoying parents right now? This is also a great option if there’s been any particular family tension lately – it acts as a group bonding experience while additionally keeping everybody distracted enough to avoid anything bubbling over. Sneaky, eh?

Though this might sound boring, walking as a group is actually a great way to end up having at least one conversation with each member of the group as the walking formation undulates throughout the day. To make a day of it, why not pack a picnic as well and stop at a pretty viewpoint to relax and enjoy the outdoors?
