(Newswire.net — December 7, 2022) Orlando, FL — Multiple research studies have highlighted the remedies potentially helpful for the management of osteoarthritis. These include lifestyle habits like engaging in physical activities regularly.

A study has shown that progressive high-impact training enhanced the patellar cartilage quality of postmenopausal women. It is worth noting that women may be at risk of osteoporosis (bone loss) and osteoarthritis.

It was carried out in the Department of Health Sciences at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland in cooperation with the Central Finland Central Hospital and the Department of Medical Technology, Institute of Biomedicine at the University of Oulu in Finland.

In this research, the investigators examined the effects of high-impact exercise on knee cartilage, osteoarthritis symptoms, and physical function in subjects with mild knee osteoarthritis.

There were eighty eligible postmenopausal women from 50 to 65 years of age who had knee pain on most days of the month enrolled in the study. They were randomly assigned to either a control group or a training group.

“The breaking of the collagen network and increased free water in the articular cartilage is considered to represent the onset of the degenerative process of osteoarthritis,” says Doctoral Student and OMT -physiotherapist Jarmo Koli from the Department of Health Sciences.

“If those cartilage-breaking changes can be hindered, stopped, or even improved the quality of the cartilage via appropriate physical activity, it might slow down the disease progression,” Koli added.

It is also worth noting that there was an improvement in the quality of patellar cartilage from jumping and versatile rapid movement exercises.

Researchers also noted that high-impact loading or the jumping type of exercise and rapid change of movement directions were the most efficient workout modality in enhancing bone strength. It has been previously thought that this exercise is harmful to the integrity of articular cartilage.

In managing osteoarthritis better, it may be wise to take into account the use of certain remedies like glucosamine. This therapeutic ingredient has long been known to help repair cartilage damage and produce pain-relieving benefits.

Choosing the right supplement is vital in taking advantage of the healing goodness of this remedy. There are extra-strength supplements like VitaBreeze Glucosamine found to be particularly helpful in delivering the healing goodness of this amino sugar.

It contains 1500mg Glucosmaine (obtained from shellfish), 1000mg Chondroitin, 600mg MSM, and 300mg Turmeric for optimal joint health.
