More Studies Warn Against the Increasing BPA Exposure in Humans

(Newswire.net — December 8, 2022) Orlando, FL — Over the years, researchers have been looking into the widespread use of toxins and chemicals in consumer products. These include bisphenol A (BPA), which is used in an extensive range of food and beverage containers.

A new study from Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH) researchers has shown that subjects who drank from polycarbonate bottles for a week exhibited a two-thirds increase in their urine of the chemical bisphenol A (BPA).

It is worth noting that polycarbonate bottlers are the popular, hard-plastic drinking bottles and baby bottlers. Experts have long warned that BPA exposure interferes with reproductive development in animals.

Further, it has been associated with cardiovascular disease and diabetes in humans.

This research is actually the first to show that drinking liquids contained in polycarbonate bottles increased urinary BPA levels. This suggests that BPA-made drinking containers can release the chemical into the liquid in amounts enough to increase the level of BPA excreted in human urine.

Polycarbonate bottles are usually refillable and popularly used by students and campers, and are also used as baby bottlers. Aside from these bottles, BPA can also be found in dentistry composites and sealants and in the lining of aluminum food and beverage cans.

In a number of studies, it has been found that polycarbonate acts as an endocrine disruptor in animals. These particularly include altered development and tissue organization of the mammary gland, early onset of sexual maturation, and reduced sperm production in offspring.

“We found that drinking cold liquids from polycarbonate bottles for just one week increased urinary BPA levels by more than two-thirds. If you heat those bottles, as is the case with baby bottles, we would expect the levels to be considerably higher. This would be of concern since infants may be particularly susceptible to BPA’s endocrine-disrupting potential,” said Karin B. Michels.

Michels is an associate professor of epidemiology at HSPH and Harvard Medical School and the senior author of the study.

Experts have been strongly recommending some techniques to lessen toxin exposure and cleanse the body. One of the ways to have a body detox is to use activated charcoal.

Activated charcoal comes in fine, odorless, black powder known for its toxin-absorbing properties. It is used widely today for medicinal and cosmetic purposes and through the use of superior-strength formulas like Divine Bounty Activated Charcoal.

The use of this remedy is found helpful in detoxifying the body, treating food poisoning, relieving digestive health issues, filtering water, and whitening the teeth (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B071NZ5G57).
