(Newswire.net — December 9, 2022) Las Vegas, NV — In an attempt to reduce the prevalence of mental health issues like bipolar disorder, more and more researchers look into the best possible ways to ward off this condition and learn about its risks.

A study was published in Biological Psychiatry: Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging.

In this research, the investigators found that patterns of brain activation during reward anticipation may aid in identifying individuals most at risk of being affected by bipolar spectrum disorders (BPSD).

It is worth mentioning that in individuals with BPSD, mania is usually accompanied by impulsivity and this includes responses to potential rewards.

The study looked into the patterns of neural activation during a rewarding task that predicted the severity of the mania symptom in young adults. These subjects have not yet developed the disorder.

According to first author Leticia de Oliveira, Ph.D., Federal Fluminense University, Brazil, given that emerging manic symptoms predispose to bipolar disorders, these findings can provide neural biomarkers to aid early identification of bipolar disorder risk in young adults.

Health authorities warn that mental health issues like bipolar disorder lead to the loss of more disability-adjusted life-years than all of some chronic diseases.

In a study involving 11 countries, it has been found that the total lifetime prevalence was 0.6 percent for BP-I, 0.4 percent for BP-II, and 1.4 percent for sub-threshold BP. Moreover, the total rate of this condition is estimated to be 2.4 percent on a global scale.

Experts have long warned that among individuals with this condition, suicide is the top cause of premature death. It is further worth mentioning that less than half of individuals with lifetime bipolar received mental health treatment.

It is worth realizing that today, experts are looking into the possible remedies to help the brain increase its protection against mental health issues.

Interestingly, some natural remedies like curcumin have been able to demonstrate their potential in fighting mental health problems.

According to researchers, curcumin may aid in controlling the symptoms and progression of bipolar disorder. Due to its strong antioxidant powers, it aids in preventing oxidative damage in the brain.

Curcumin is also known for its strong anti-inflammatory agents. More particularly, it has been able to suppress all kinds of inflammation, and this aids in controlling the symptoms of bipolar disorder.

More studies are still being carried out to explore the potential of this phytochemical in fighting mental health issues. However, its use is undeniably widespread nowadays, especially via supplementation.

One formula to take into account using is Incredipure Curcumin (http://amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Supplement-BioPerine-Capsule/dp/B0166KAW8M).
