Researchers Warn Smoking May Trigger Heart Failure

(Newswire.net — December 16, 2022) Orlando, FL — Health authorities have long been warning against the lifestyle habits scientifically found detrimental to heart health. These include smoking cigarettes which have long been correlated with certain negative health outcomes.

Researchers warn smoking may trigger heart failure as it thickens the heart wall. The investigators have particularly shown that smokers without noticeable signs of heart disease are actually more likely than nonsmokers and former smokers to have thickened heart walls.

Further, they tend to have reduced heart-pumping ability. The study has also warned that the longer and more cigarettes smoked, the greater the damage is to the heart’s structure and function.

The findings of this new research were published in the American Heart Association’s journal Circulation: Cardiovascular Imaging.

This research involved participants with an average age of 75.7 and without obvious signs of cardiovascular disease.

The rates of cumulative cigarette exposure pertain to the measure of how much and how long people have smoked during their lifetime. In this study, the higher cumulative cigarette exposure, the greater the heart damage.

“These data suggest that smoking can independently lead to thickening of the heart and worsening of heart function, which may lead to a higher risk for heart failure, even in people who don’t have heart attacks,” said Wilson Nadruz Jr, M.D., Ph.D.

Nadruz is the lead author of the study and a research fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts.

“In addition, the more people smoke, the greater the damage to the heart’s structure and function, which reinforces the recommendations stating that smoking is dangerous and should be stopped.”

Research has time and again shown that there are many ways helpful in battling heart disease and improving overall cardiovascular health. These include the use of certain all-natural remedies like curcumin, which the scientific community has been looking into in years past.

Several studies have demonstrated that curcumin intake helps combat heart disease due to its ability to enhance the function of the endothelium. It is worth being warned that endothelial dysfunction has long been identified to be a major driver of heart disease.

Today, health-conscious consumers turn to the use of superior-strength formulas like VitaBreeze Curcumin. In addition to containing 750 mg of curcumin per capsule, it also offers 180 Vegetarian pills per bottle.

It is important to note that curcumin has long been found to have genoprotective, antifungal, anti-amyloidogenic, anti-cytotoxic, antibiotic, antimicrobial, adaptogenic, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, anticarcinogenic, antiproliferative, antiviral, renoprotective, insulin-sensitizing, androgenic, antifibrotic, neurorestorative,  antioxidant, anti-purulent, immunomodulating, and anticatabolic agents (https://www.amazon.com/Turmeric-Curcumin-Complex-Pepper-Extract/dp/B00JA4TLTI/).
