IntelliTec College in Grand Junction is pleased to announce that the Cosmetologist program is now offering evening courses. The evening courses will make the program even more accessible to busy and working students. The IntelliTec College – Grand Junction classrooms and salon are located at 432 North Ave, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
The decision to offer evening courses is intended to make the Cosmetologist program even more accessible to students with busy schedules, including those who balance their schooling with family responsibilities, part-time, and full-time jobs. The evening courses are offered Tuesday through Saturday, and generally take place between the hours of 2 pm and 8 pm.
IntelliTec College’s Cosmetologist program is designed to prepare students for successful long-term careers in the beauty industry. Students receive advanced technical skills training for hair coloring applications, cutting techniques, and styling methods, as well as professional training in facial and skin care treatment, nail services and make-up techniques. Students are also instructed in how to provide exemplary customer service.
Students in the Cosmetologist program at IntelliTec College – Grand Junction receive a complete cosmetologist’s kit stocked with essential hairstyling, nail service, and skin care items, as well as personalized instruction from certified instructors who are licensed cosmetologists and/or former salon owners. Under their supervision, IntelliTec students take the skills they’ve learned in the classroom and apply them in IntelliTec College’s Cosmetology Salons, gaining hands-on, real-world experience while offering excellent salon services to the community. All services at the Cosmetology Salon are provided by students of IntelliTec College and are overseen by industry professional instructors.
The Cosmetologist program is designed to prepare students to begin their careers in the beauty industry in as few as 15 months. Upon completion of the program, students are prepared to test for state licensure by sitting for the Colorado State Board Cosmetologist License exam. By earning their diploma through IntelliTec College and obtaining their state licensure to operate as a licensed Cosmetologist, graduates position themselves to successfully transition into professional employment.
