Surrey BC Clinic Adds EMDR Therapists For Gender Identity, Cultural Counselling

Growing Mental Health Clinic Grigore Counselling & Associates announces the addition of two EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapists, who bring their unique cultural expertise into the virtual office.

Inderjit Aujla MA, RCC and Lacey Poltorasky MA, RCC, CCC have recently joined Grigore Counselling & Associates – the therapy practice of EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapist and EMDRIA-Approved EMDR Consultant Robert Grigore MCP, RCC. Robert Grigore believes that Inderjit and Lacey, being of Indo-Canadian and Indigenous, Tahltan descent, can bring a unique cultural perspective and experience to clients experiencing race and identity issues, along with other common mental health issues such as anxiety, panic attacks, and trauma.

Both Inderjit and Lacey are Registered Clinical Counsellors (RCC), EMDRIA-Certified EMDR Therapists, and members of EMDR Canada and the EMDR International Association (EMDRIA), with Lacey also being a Certified Canadian Counsellor. They join Grigore Counselling & Associates to enable the therapy practice to provide counselling and EMDR therapy to a broader range of clients.

About Inderjit Aujla MA, RCC

Inderjit offers a trauma-informed approach, pulling from her experience and cultural background to help clients resolve the struggles that are holding them back. Specializing in anxiety and panic attacks, generational gap, and trauma counselling, among others, she mostly works with couples, families, and individuals aged 13 and above. With an eclectic approach and 25 years of experience, Inderjit offers sessions in English, Punjabi, and Hindi.

About Lacey Poltorasky MA, RCC, CCC

Working mainly with individuals aged 10 and above, Lacey has experience with complex trauma, cultural, racial, and LGBTQIA2S+ issues. Her flexible approach is rooted in the belief that therapy is an opportunity for self-discovery and acceptance. Her areas of expertise include intergenerational trauma, racial & self-identity, and sexuality.

Both Lacey and Inderjit hold an LGBTQIA2S+ positive space.
