Chef Joey Morelli announces a new charity campaign through Joey’s Food Fight, his non-profit organization, aimed at raising food awareness and teaching cooking skills to children in orphanages in Chicago and around the world.

As part of the announcement, Chef Joey is building a lasting partnership with Hope For the Silent Voices, a nonprofit charity that offers support and resources to vulnerable women and children around the world. Through this partnership, Joey’s Food Fight provides equipment and knowledge to support the health of children in orphanages.
In a 2019 study on childhood nutrition, UNICEF reported that entertaining messaging provides a lasting and positive effect on children and caregivers. Building on that concept, Chef Joey creates fun content on YouTube and TikTok that raises nutritional awareness and highlights the culinary arts. With Joey’s Food Fight, Chef Joey is bringing his message to orphanages in person.
Joey Morelli is a long-time chef, restauranteur, and passionate philanthropist. He recently visited Central Ukraine to provide food for families impacted by the war. In Chicago, Joey is also a Board Member for StandUp for Kids where he provides meals for shelters three times a week.
Joey’s Food Fight began in Cambodia where Chef Joey taught children in an orphanage to shop for and make healthy meals on a limited budget. He also helped outfit the kitchen with modern appliances.
