Why Competition is Bad for American Business

On Twitter, entrepreneurs were raving about Shark Tank Show on ABC.  Unfortunately, they were being subject to the very environments that cause businesses to fail.

Competitive Capitalism.

Competitive Capitalism & Greed hurt not only the US economy, but the world economy.  Fighting against one another simply doesn’t work.

Some of the comments you will find on Twitter were along the lines of:
“It’s teaching me how much I didn’t know.”
“I’m learning so much about business.”
…and other clueless ramblings.

If you watch the show long enough, you’ll learn the opposite is true.  There is nothing taught on the show.
The show is simply a mindless ‘reality’ show whereby the alleged ‘leaders’ are simply taking from the entrepreneurs without adding any value back.   Obviously, they call them ‘Sharks’ for a reason.

You’ll also see the investors bragging to each other or complimenting each other a to how they got a “steal of a deal” from the small business.

The majority of the time, the investors take more than 51% of the company.  They could fire the original owner at any time.   We never heard about the success stories.  The show saw it’s final show in Octobrer after a very short run.  There is rumor that they may come back in January for three or five shows, but really how much will the American public put up with?   The network is hopefully smarter than to bank on a losing business proposition.

I challenged show stars Barbara Corcoran (@BarbaraCorcoran) Kevin O’Leary (@KevinOleary) and Daymond Johns (@SharkTankDaymond) the gentleman who had a lucky strike back in the day, with FUBU Clothing.   I challenged him to become charitable.  I even invited him to become a member of an exclusive club for entrepreneurs so he could give back to society.   Instead, he chose to have one of his cronies chime in.  After threats & accusations were lobbed from their side, I offered them to take the high road.  Why they all chose to hide under a rock rather than step up to greatness, is beyond me.

CEO Space is the “anti shark”.

It is about ‘giving back’.  It is about adding value.   It is about seeing that all dreams are honored.

CEO Space is the world’s oldest and largest network for CEOs and Entrepreneurs.

CEO Space is an entrepreneurial training and world class business networking organization, providing MBA-level training and development and an immersion experience of cooperation that results in income acceleration through exponential business growth.

CEO Space was founded by BJ Dohrmann, whose father was a mentor to Walt Disney, Napoleon Hill, Buckminster Fuller, JFK, Earl Nightingale and many others.

For the last thirty years, BJ has been known as “Coach of the Coaches” …Anthony Robbins, Mark Victor Hansen, Jack Cannfield, Lisa Nichols, T. Harv Ecker, Robert Kiyosaki, Les Brown and just about any other big name you can think of, as well as head execs at companies like Starbucks, HSN, ConocoPhillips, and many more.  He is now counseling the United Nations and many foreign nations with regard to turning around the global economic crisis via Cooperative Capitalism.

About a third of the members are investors, including millionaires & billionaires.  In just 5 meetings in the last year, CEO Space has generated over $3 Billion Dollars in funding for its members, while all the banks and venture capital firms were sitting on their hands.

CEO Space continues to flourish.  The sharks have gone into extinction.   If you want your business to flourish, you may want to have a resource on your side that has 21 years of success in its pocket, rather than flash in the pans that don’t care.

Is it possible that The Sharks do care?   Who knows… I still await their contact.   I’ll even help them with their businesses and rebuild their images which were clearly not helped with their association with a show canceled due to bad ratings.

America can only be helped in an environment where we all try to help each other out.  It’s how our country was built.  Remember reading about the covered wagon days when neighbors would help raise a barn and a house and we’d all help each other out?   CEO Space is that place for business.    Let’s make America “infectious” again.  A place where people care about others and help each other succeed.

I can help The Sharks.  Are they willing to admit that they can use it?
