Aquamer Names New Chief Executive Officer Richard Falcone

Boston, Massachusetts, February 24, 2010 (NEWSWIRE) – (AQUM.OB) Richard Falcone has been named Aquamer Medical Corp.’s new President and Chief Executive Officer, as well as a member of its Board of Directors effective immediately, the Company announced today, Feb. 24, 2010.  Mr. Falcone will replace current CEO Marshall Sterman as part of a wider corporate restructuring.  Mr. Sterman will continue to serve as Chairman of the Board.

 

“I believe that Richard’s 30 years of proven leadership with fast growing multinational public corporations will be a valuable addition to our executive team,” Sterman said in a statement.  “His depth of experience and leadership skills will hopefully allow us to accelerate our growth and take the Company to the next level.”

 

Mr. Falcone is an experienced financial and operational executive in manufacturing, retail and technology companies.  He was formerly the CFO of Bed, Bath & Beyond Inc., taking a privately held company into the public domain with public offerings in excess of $275 million, while revenues grew from $100 million to over $800 million.  He headed Tiffany & Co. global expansion as the Director of Internal Finance and Operations and also played a prominent role in Tiffany’s IPO.  Mr. Falcone also has significant experience in turnaround having successfully restructured two publicly traded companies, Tasker Productions Corporation and The A Consulting Team.  Mr. Falcone, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) brings a lifetime of financial management skills to the company and will provide the Company with astute financial leadership.
