FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(NEWSWIRE.NET  –January 22, 2013) Las Vegas, NV — In 2004 Guitarist Robby LeBlanc performed on a cruise to Tahiti. While on that cruise LeBlanc had the opportunity to hear 68 Yr. old world re-known mountain climber, Werner Berger talked about his goals to climb the 7 Summits of the world. At this time Berger had already climbed 6 summits and was preparing for Mt. Everest.

Robby LeBlanc asked Werner Berger, “If I lose 100 pounds could I climb Mt Kilimanjaro?” Werner looked at Robby LeBlanc and said,” If you lose 100 pounds I’ll go with you young man”. Werner Berger called Robby LeBlanc for five years asking if he lost the weight so they could climb Kilimanjaro and for five years Robby had to say no.

In July 2011 Werner called Robby again and asked,” Robby I heard you just did 13 miles in a half marathon, is that true?”  I answered, YES! ” Werner then asked, “When are we going to Mount Kilimanjaro?”  We decided on June 26, 2012.

Where does Voyage-Air guitar come in? Two weeks before Robby LeBlanc left for Mount Kilimanjaro, the head of Voyage-Air Guitar Marketing called and asked, “Are you the guitarist that is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro?” I answered “YES!” He responded, “We’d love to have you take one of our guitars to the top of Kilimanjaro”. Robby LeBlanc performed at High Base Camp on Mount Kilimanjaro at about 10 degrees below zero. At NAMM he will be performing and sharing his Mount Kilimanjaro story.
