(Newswire.net — February 19, 2013) Kissimmee, FL — Vanity can only take you so far however when it comes to long term health and improvements to our teeth, even the Grammy’s cannot keep our stars from sporting braces in public.  On the contrary, our stars of music and Hollywood have made orthodontics and physical braces fashionable.  The most impressionable population in our society is the teenage and pubescent age group.  They clearly are where you want to be looking to identify trends and commercial habits.

Faith Hill appeared at the 2013 Grammy Awards with her newly acquired braces since as a child, she had braces and did not follow through on wearing her retainer.  Therefore, her teeth started spacing out again as an adult and the new retainer should help bring them back.  It appears that Faith’s braces got more attention than the stiletto heels and fashionable dresses that the Red Carpet is known for.

Teeth and orthodontic issues can happen to anyone, but it is obvious that the importance of taking good care of your teeth when required can obviate dealing with such problems later in life.  If our stars of the stage and screen can make this a priority then why not everyday Joes?  The simple answer is that this stuff is truly important and in our busy lives, there are always reasons that can deter us from following the protocol and habits that keep us healthy and more importantly, keep us from getting unhealthy.

Our entertainers are such a great influence upon our society, especially our adolescents.  With them standing on stage with braces and accepting a less than perfect visualization that they portray to their adorning public, this certainly sends a gallant message that we all can learn from.  Tooth care and straightening for better appearance and proper growth, are aspects of our oral health routine that must be maintained.

What was conventionally considered taboo or unsightly in the past has now evolved into Hollywood demonstrating a more relaxed atmosphere of just being real and authentic about who and what they are.  “Tinseltown” was labeled that from the glitter and bright lights that always accompanied this superficial industry.   Change and evolution have arrived to show the public that wearing braces is ok and in fact can be fashionable.
