(Newswire.net — April 16, 2013) — A group built primarily to encourage a competitive workforce and take forward the American immigration reform in America, FWD.us, sees the involvement of many notable personalities such as Mark Zuckerberg, Jim Breyer, Matt Kohler, and more.

It looks like Tech’s famous names have united for a change with Joe Green as its President. A non-profit organization by nature, the group can receive unlimited donations which are expected to pour out from various parts of the globe. Joe Green, the President, remarks, “People in tech have always felt a cultural disconnect from the political process, which is a shame considering we are naturally idealistic; you often hear tech founders talk about their motivation to create companies and products is to change the world”. He also added, “Our goal with FWD.us is to organize and engage the tech community in the issues which we can contribute to the national debate”.

The group will set into action immediately with the US Senate Judiciary holding a hearing on the immigration reforms on the 17th of April. The proposed immigration reforms focus on making the H-1B Visa processes easier with a view to meet the talent crisis the Silicon Valley is currently facing. Immigration reforms do not constitute the only priority on the cards.

The group also plans to launch a campaign to promote increasing the number of math, tech, and science graduates each year and ensure children get the best education from their schools. The recent project could generate more jobs in America and also encourage people to take up science as a career and foster scientific research.

Summing up the aims of the group, Mark Zuckerberg said “In a Knowledge economy, the important resources are the talented people we educate and attract to our country. A knowledge economy can scale further, create better jobs, and provide a high quality of living for everyone in our nation.”   Zuckerberg added that in order to propel the new economy forward, the best resources needed to be attracted and trained, so that the most industrious and talented people are roped in.
