(Newswire.net — May 8, 2013) Laytonsville, MD — Waredaca, Maryland’s premier full service, year round and recreational facility for horses, has released the 2013 kids summer camp schedule.  “Your best choice for anything with horses begins at Waredaca!  I cannot wait for summer camp to start!!” claims Riding Camp Director Gayle Mahaney, with a huge smile on her face!  Riding around the farm, in the ring, playing games on horseback, swimming in the lake and doing the many adventure activities round out a full day for campers.  Having safe and enjoyable fun on horses is the theme.  Waredaca has been offering summer camp for kids since 1937.  Now administrated through Bar T Summer Programs, the staff at Waredaca run the hands-on professional aspects of the Riding Camp.

If Day Camp doesn’t fit the schedule, horseback riding lessons still occur for kids and adults.  A flexible schedule offers choices of weekday evenings or Saturdays for one to choose.  And families can ride together and experience the beauty of nature on the farm’s 220 acres of fields and woods.

Competitions are scheduled on several summer weekends—June 1, 2, June 9, and August 17, 18, as are our monthly Wednesday Summer Schooling Evenings.  From Olympians to amateurs to kids, all can benefit from the many options that boost skills and enjoyment.  Daphne Soares, who boards her horse and her son’s pony at the farm, agrees, saying ‘We can get the perfect practice we need for our upcoming competitions, right here in our own backyard!  No hooking up the trailer and packing all the gear necessary, not to mention all the additional time and effort when we have to travel off the farm to do things.’

An August activity unique to Waredaca  is the opportunity to train with the new Eventing coach for the United States!   David O’Connor, who grew up in Gaithersburg, will be teaching here on August 6.    This is a rare experience to work with David as he is usually traveling across the globe, prioritizing his teaching time with the high performance athletes here and in England.    Limited space exists due to the very personal format, maximizing all you can get from David’s fabulous and most effective insight and instruction!

Waredaca is an exceptional full service, year round riding and recreational facility for all ages. Family-owned and operated since 1937, and located on a 220 acre farm, in the Laytonsville area of northeastern Montgomery County, Maryland, our professional, personable staff and varied programs offer many opportunities for everyone.
