Palm Beach County Golf Course Raises $7K for Wounded Warriors

(Newswire.net May 14, 2013) Palm Beach County, Florida — The Village Golf Club in Royal Palm Beach hosted this year’s event and through the generosity of local South Florida golfers over $7000 was raised for the South Florida chapter of Wounded Warriors Foundation.

Wounded Warriors of South Florida helps families of wounded and fallen military personnel. Any assistance the wounded warrior requires Wounded Warriors Foundation will provide, if it is within means, or ability. It may include rent assistance and help through the veterans administration – Veterans Assisted Subsidized Housing program, assistance with food products, help or assistance with power and utility bills or shut off notices, help with home repairs, help with vehicles issues or repairs, help with transportation to VA hospital or doctor’s appointments, help acquiring physical therapy needs, help with recreational programs or events.

The South Florida chapter area of operation includes from Tampa and the lower West coast areas and on the East coast Sebastian south to the Keys to also incorporate Homestead.The Village Golf Club in Royal Palm Beach, Florida was a great location for this years Golf Fundraiser.

Wounded Warrior’s mission is to provide temporary and immediate assistance financially, mentally and physically to combat service connected, Purple Heart, recipients from operations Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom respectively first, and foremost. If funds are available, combat service connected, Purple Heart, recipients from Operation Desert Storm will apply.

Many licensed general contractors, mechanical shops, engineers, hotels, taxi services and food suppliers at our side to help these wounded warriors.

This is all done as a team effort between Wounded Warriors of South Florida, and these volunteer companies.

None of this would be possible without the extreme generosity of the people within the community.
