YouTube Now Allows Producers To Link To External Website From Within Videos

(Newswire.net — May 28, 2013) San Diego, CA — Some good news for YouTube publishers and marketers. YouTube has given their publishers the ability to link to an external website right in the content of the video through a clickable annotation.  Internet marketing professionals and video publishers are ecstatic with marketing possibilities.

Prior to this new feature, if a company wanted to link to their website or offer more information on a related product or service, a viewer would have to be watching the video from the YouTube website itself.  Any videos that were shared through social networks or embedded at other locations would not show the description or the clickable website link.

“This is a major breakthrough for companies looking to offer more information on a product or service,” Said Bryan Knowlton an internet marketing professional.  “You can now add a clickable text phrase or call to action that a viewer can click on to get more information directly off the producers website.”

The possibilities are endless.  If you have a video showing how a product works and you want to provide more detailed information and possibly even a link to where the product can be purchased, you simply add an annotation to the video and link that text to the specific page on your website with more information.  Embedded videos and shared videos will retain the annotations and your clickable link now has the potential to be seen across multiple sharing platforms.
