(Newswire.net — May 25, 2013) San Diego, CA — After Lori Fran was diagnosed  with type 2 diabetes, the fitness guru Natalie Jill was determined to seek solutions for the reversible disease that did not involve the medications that the doctor would prescribe. Natalie Jill published Lori’s journey to health in a paper titled “We Stopped Type II Diabetes in its Tracks.” The paper goes in depth about Lori’s own prior knowledge of the disease, and the impact that it had on her life.

“My Dad was one of five children, and all five were diagnosed with the disease by the time they reached their early forties.  My grandfather (my Dad’s father) had suffered a leg amputation because of the dreaded disease.  I grew up with many aunts and uncles constantly talking about “having a touch of the sugar.”  They bemoaned about this as they ate whatever they wanted.  They were all quite obese.   Save for one, they all died a premature death.” Lori would not allow the disease to claim another life if she could help it, especially her own.

Lori knew that with her family’s diabetic genetic history the odds were not good, but Lori also knew that the disease was reversible, despite Lori’s increasing weight with child rearing and age overall. When Lori went to a doctor, the first thing that was given besides advice was medication, which saddened Lori because she knew that her health issues with diabetes and weight gain could be corrected with diet and exercise.

“I knew people who followed Natalie Jill.  I read her blogs and post, so I reached out to her for a custom health plan that would allow me to get my diabetes 2 and weight issues under control.   She told me it needed to be LOW CARB—Not LOW FAT.  As she explained to me, a lot of the right kinds of fats are good for you. Natalie explained to me that I needed to eat small, frequent meals—all containing a balance of the right kind of protein, fat and carbohydrate, “says Lori. Fortunately for Lori, with Natalie Jill’s advice and new diet plan,, her diabetes II disease was reversed plus she lost ten pounds as well.
